A) Participants were presented with information regarding the reward magnitude of the hard task for that trial, and the probability of receiving any reward for both the easy and hard tasks. B) Participants chose the easy or hard task by pressing a designated key. C) Participants made rapid button presses to complete the chosen task for seven seconds (easy task) or 21 seconds (hard task). D) Participants received feedback on whether they have completed the task. E) Participants received reward feedback indicating whether they received any money for that trial.
