Ideal outcome measures for children with Angelman syndrome:

Should not:

 ⨂ Rely on language or motor functioning

 ⨂ Require a certain level of intellectual functioning

 ⨂ Touch the body of the child

Should:

 ✓ Be short

 ✓ Take place in a distraction-free environment

 ✓ Allow the child to move (slightly)

 ✓ Involve the parent/caregiver

 ✓ Use interesting task stimuli or distractions

 ✓ Take into account longer reaction times
