Similarly, mutant mice did not show significantly different behavior from the control mice in the dark conditions with red light ((p = 0.30). In both conditions, there was a trend for mice to spend more time in the high-contrast area, but this observation is confounded with the experimental procedure that all mice were placed in the high-contrast area at the start of the experiment.
